Happy to Help
Having a giggle
" I enjoy the art group, done some nice projects in the wood work and made loads of friends. I have also become a member volunteer helping out in the kitchen and at dinner time. Today I have a purpose in life, I want to get up and get dressed to attend the centre as I know I am valued and wanted. Also I am not laughed at because of my mental health problems. "
"I enjoy attending the centre it helps me to socialise with members that understand me. "
"The Centre has helped me immensely in making new friends. I enjoy their company who sadly have experienced the same problems as me in life. I have had the opportunity to volunteer around the centre and help staff. This has been so helpful to me and it helps to keep my illness at bay. I look forward to attend each day as it gives me a reason and a purpose."
"St Georges has encouraged me to get involved with different things as in the past I would not have the courage to do so. Today I get so much pleasure from the art work as well as the crafts and when we have finished a project, staff display it around the centre, which gives me great pleasure. "
"The staff are lovely, really calm, relaxed, happy people that I find easy to share my problems with as they care about each member. "

"St G’s has helped me to socialise Staff are very caring and helpful. "
Couldn't be happier
"Before I was referred I sat at home looking at four walls being depressed and lonely, smoking my head off. Nearly every month I was at the doctors with my illnesses, now I feel a different person as I am with people that understand me. I am very shy but being at St Georges has brought me out of my shell and life is much brighter for me. "
"The Centre makes me aware of other people's needs and that I am not on my own with my problems .My mental health is very stable now as a results of attending the Centre and enjoying our outings."
"We all support each other and have a laugh along the way."
